Dixie Chicks: Top of the World Tour
Dixie Chicks will take their Top of the World Tour to Buffalo’s HSBC Arena on Friday, June 13, 2003 at 8 pm. Lipton will present the Clear Channel Entertainment tour. The last time the Dixie Chicks played HSBC Arena was on July 23, 2000.
The Top of the Wold Tour will feature songs from the Dixie Chicks’ hit album, Home. The tour will start on May 1, 2003 at the Bi Lo Center in Greenville, SC and end in Nashville, TN’s Gaylord Entertainment Center on August 4, 2003.
Word of their Buffalo appearance in June came just two days after the Dixie Chicks’ single, "Landslide" became available in stores, and just three days before the country group is scheduled to perform at the 45th Annual Grammy Awards on February 23, 2003. The Dixie Chicks may even walk away with several Grammy’s this Sunday Night, as they were nominated for four awards for their recent album, Home. The nominations include "Album of the Year," "Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals," "Best Country Instrumental Performance:’Lil Jack Slade’," and Best Country Album." In 2000 and 2002, the Dixie Chicks took home 6 Grammy’s each year, and in 2001 they were awarded 5.
Tickets go on sale Monday, March 3, 2003 at 9 AM. Tickets are Reserved Seating and are priced at $65, $45, and $35. The Random Handbill Policy is in Effect. Handbills are available Monday, February 24, 2003 at 9:00 AM.
